Text: Ps 42:1-2

MEDITATION

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.” Ps 42:1

For anyone to think of the Tabernacle of David, he must know the significance and the place of God in the affairs and schemes of life. It is the value to which David attached to God that spur him for the journey of bringing back the Ark of the covenant and setting up a Tabernacle for it.

Our values towards God determine the steps we take in God and on how deep we seek to advance in Him. David’s love and value for God stirred burden in his heart to go out and give all to God and not to seek rest until he provide God a Tabernacle of rest. What opens the door of God to us is the posture of our heart with respect to God – Our love, affections, desires and burden for God and His kingdom.

I believe it is on the ground of David’s heart that God opened him and gave him (David) access to the revelation of the Tabernacle’s Template that he built. If we are to walk in the order of David and walk in his realm, we must trust God to set our heart aright.

Highlight: What opens the door of God to us is the posture of our heart with respect to God – Our love, affections, desires and burden for God and His kingdom.

Prayer: Lord, let my heart always longs for You. Let it (My heart) pant and burn for you

Benediction: A new day, a new season, more measures of grace upon us today in Jesus name.

Scripture through the year: Jeremiah 6:24 – 8:22, 1 Timothy 4:10 – 5:14
